About This Spot

Situated on the second floor of Liberty London, Arthur’s at Liberty quietly invites you into a restful pause amid the city’s vibrant rhythm. The moment you step inside, there’s a gentle shift in tempo—an understated warmth brushing away the bustling energy of Regent Street below. With its unhurried pace and intimate corners, the restaurant feels like a thoughtful refuge, perfect for reflection, conversation, or simply savoring a break during a day of exploration.

The atmosphere is cozy without feeling confined, balancing the elegance of its Carnaby location with the kind of approachable friendliness that makes you want to linger. Staff move attentively yet unobtrusively, their genuine care adding a layer of calm to the experience. It’s a space where the quiet hum of fellow diners blends with soft murmurs and the occasional clink of glasses, crafting a comforting soundtrack that welcomes both solitude and shared moments.

Here, the food is an extension of the inviting atmosphere—dishes served with care that surprise with their generous portions and thoughtful balance. Whether settling in for a light meal or a leisurely afternoon tea, you’ll find offerings that blend familiar comforts with subtle twists, like a refreshing, sparkling jasmine tea, or a dessert that combines British rhubarb with gentle notes of vanilla and ginger. It’s the kind of menu that encourages a relaxed exploration, as much about savoring the flavors as about soaking in the peaceful setting.

Arthur’s resonates particularly during quieter interludes of the day, making it a favored spot for those seeking a thoughtful pause in the middle of a busy shopping trip or a serene moment away from the city's pace. Its charm isn’t loud or hurried; rather, it’s found in the little details—like the soft warmth of a freshly baked scone, the smile of a welcoming server, or the soft glow of afternoon light filtering through Liberty’s iconic facade.

This subtle, inviting place feels like a well-kept secret to those who value space for calm, thoughtful nourishment—both in their plates and in their surroundings. Booking ahead is wise, as its quiet allure is increasingly appreciated by locals and visitors alike, all eager to discover a moment of genuine ease tucked away above one of London’s most storied shopping destinations.

Arthur’s is under new management and it is obvious that allot of care and attention has been put into the menu and the staff training. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly and attentive . Will definitely be returning.

So I’m back again at another of my favourite haunts. Arthur’s Restaurant has always been amongst my favourites and today’s experience has been no different. I haven’t read the other reviews because I generally like to form my own opinions. Liberty’s has always been a must go place at Christmas. They take the festive season almost as seriously as Macy’s in NYC. It is wonderful to just look around and get the positive feeling from the place, and you should definitely visit the Christmas shop on the 4th floor. Anyway, Arthur’s…… I have always found the staff to be polite, efficient and very friendly. I can’t fault them. The service is fast and they are always attentive to their customers which is always very refreshing. Their prices are not exorbitant and are in line with most of restaurants around the area. The atmosphere is lively and fun and to top it all the food tastes wonderful. Since getting a service dog I have found that some establishments aren’t that accepting of them but the staff are welcoming and recognise Pippa every time and make us both feel very welcome. What more could you ask for ?? Try it out yourself, I don’t think you’d be disappointed. Happy Christmas …..

The restaurant is on the second floor and it has a cosy atmosphere. The staff are really nice and polite. Food is quite expensive, but worth it. Very good portions as well. I ordered their Quinoa Salad with chicken and to be honest, it was much more than I expected. And delicious too. I will definitely be back and recommend it to my friends. I suggest booking a table as it can get really busy really quick.

Had the cutest little cream tea here. Decent variety of teas, decadent clotted cream and some lovely scones. Extremely pleasant staff. Amazing experience overall

Third time I come back here, to get some rest and reflect mid-shopping. Love the atmosphere at Liberty's, and love to visit this place. Tried the cream tea before but decided on the Afternoon tea today. I am no expert but for me this was exactly what I was looking for, nice sandwiches, warm scone, and sweets included macaron and carrot cake. Could see more single visitors besides me, and I felt very looked after by the staff, welcoming me within seconds and speedy service. Will definitely be back!

Had my Birthday today at Arthur's in Liberty's. (I discovered this hidden gem a couple of Christmas's ago). To me the food is really delicious. (Reminiscent of the good old days of the Ivy). Really tasty, well cooked food. Today and earlier in December went for fish course, cooked and presented beautifully, served with sides of Green beans and crispy garlic potatoes. The staff are absolutely lovely, served by Kaitlin and Angela today, who went out of way to ensure we had a lovely birthday experience. We finished our meal with a delicious chocolate and honeycomb desert, and came away with a bag of yummy cakes and pastries. Honestly highly recommend Arthur's at Liberty's.

Perfect place to take a break during your shopping trip to Liberty’s! Typical English menu and we loved it. It’s a must do stop while shopping and take a break. The food is excellent and very tasty. If you are in Liberty, don’t miss this place. You will always remember your afternoon tea break you took here. The service is impeccable, the attention to detail is perfect, and the food is very very good! If you haven’t been, go! If you have been, go back!
